This all around fly pattern is my go to fly pattern when fishing any inshore area in Florida year round. They are very effective on the beach with summer snook or anywhere fish are feeding on glass minnows or small baits. Many other Shiminnow patterns use some kind of feather or fur for the tail. These are tied with fiber so I can throw a more rugged fly on those epic days you are just getting hammered.
All flies are handmade by me and tied exactly the same way I tie my own flies. They are made with the highest quality of materials and will hold up to toothy saltwater fish.
I only use Gamakatsu Big Game Wide Gap Saltwater Fly Hooks and my cost is $.70 so you’re the best of the best. Gamakatsu’s are extra stong, sharp out of the box, hold their point and have a smaller barb that is easier on the fish and easier to remove. I can hold my rod under my arm and release fish without taking them out of the water.
If you don’t think my flies are worth the extra cost you can return them for a 100% refund no questions asked.
